DESCRIPTION
This Teen Sport Pole class is designed specifically for ages 16 to 18 and focuses on the athletic and artistic side of pole movement — no adult themes and no dancing. Instead, this is a fitness-forward, age-appropriate introduction to pole as a sport and aerial art form.
Students will build:
- Upper body and core strength
- Coordination and control
- Grip technique and climbing skills
- Basic holds and transitions
- Confidence and creativity in a fun, supportive environment
Each class emphasizes safety, proper technique, and progressive skill development. Whether you’re an athlete, dancer, or just curious to try something new, this class is a great way to challenge yourself and explore a unique, empowering form of movement.
No prior experience needed — just a positive attitude and a willingness to try!
ATTIRE
To safely grip the pole and move comfortably, we recommend the following attire:
- Top: Fitted athletic tank top or t-shirt
- Bottoms: Tight shorts (mid-thigh length is okay; skin contact is important for grip)
- Optional: Leggings or joggers can be worn during warm-up but may need to be removed for certain skills
- Feet: Barefoot is best (no shoes or socks)
- Hair: Long hair should be tied back securely
- No lotions or oils on the skin before class — they can make the pole slippery and unsafe
Students are encouraged to wear whatever makes them feel comfortable and confident while allowing for safe movement and appropriate skin contact with the pole.
WHAT TO BRING

- Grip aid (dry hands) – this is optional
