DESCRIPTION

Contortion is the art of extreme flexibility. This class follows the Alixa Flexibility Stretching program as well as our in-house contortion curriculum, both of which are proven and safe approaches to learning contortion.

Students will learn contortion based skills such as splits, scorpions, bridges, and chest balances, as well as strength and conditioning to maintain their newly learned skills.

This class follows the Alixa Flexibility Stretching program as well as our in-house contortion curriculum. Our 2.5hr classes will start with Strength & Conditioning for 30mins, then 1hr on Stretching and the last hour will focus on Contortion based skills. These classes are on Tuesdays & Fridays will focus on Splits, Scorpions, Bridges & Chest Balances. Our 1.5hr classes on Wednesdays will focus on Handstands, Forearm Stands and Crocodiles, with the first 30 mins working on strength & conditioning.

Please note that this class requires an audition for entry. Please contact us to arrange an audition.

We highly recommend that our students take one of the 2.5hr classes as well as the 1.5hr class to further their skills in contortion. This will help build a well rounded & strong contortionist.

 

ATTIRE

Bare feet and athletic wear. Students are encouraged to bring yoga blocks and stretch bands. Tank top & leggings preferred (no loose/baggy clothing).
